And I'm not impressed.
The mechanical designs look cheap and sloppy.
The hero costumes… aren't the worst I've seen, but they're not good.
The villain designs are HORRID. Laughably horrid. I can already feel the cold burning shame of the poor stuntmen who have to wear these suits.
It's just bad. I don't want to finish, and that's really saying something. I gave the overly cutesy "GoOngers" five episodes before deciding it wasn't my speed. I even gave the insipid and overly-merchandised-even-by-Sentai-standards "Goseigers" half a dozen episodes before turning it off in disgust.
But I can't bring myself to even finish the first episode of this pile of rotted lizard pellets.
After GoBusters tried to do something somewhat serious and polished with Sentai (but got poor ratings), KyouRyuuGer comes across as trying WAY too hard. "Look, Look!", it cries. "We're doing everything different from GoBusters, the show that got bad ratings! Look, we're WACKY! Look, we're HOTBLOODED and MANLY! Look, we're desperate, PLEASE TUNE IN! IT'S DINOSAURS, MAN!"
It's just not good. I would've felt my intelligence being insulted as a pre-teen watching this… and again, I haven't even finished the first episode yet.
Oy gavalt.
